On February 4, the Alberta Legislature will reconvene and His Honour the Lieutenant Governor will deliver the Stelmach Administration’s Speech from the Throne. Your Official Opposition MLAs will be on hand, listening carefully, ready to ensure that the Premier and his Ministers listen to Albertans’ priorities.

We’ll be ready for Question Period and bill debates, raising our own concerns and bringing your issues to the Legislature. I hope you’ll have an opportunity to watch our work in the Legislature, and that you’ll share your thoughts and opinions so that we can bring them to the attention of the Premier and his administration.

Many Albertans seem to have given up on the idea of integrity in government or positive political change. I have not. As we begin a new decade, I hope to bring another tone to Alberta politics: one that challenges the Stelmach administration’s failures, yes, but also a tone of opportunity, new ideas, and hope for this fabulous province.

There’s a better way.
