Laurie Blakeman was elected to her fourth term as Member of the Legislative Assembly for Edmonton-Centre on March 3, 2008.

In addition to her role as MLA, Ms Blakeman has served as:

Ms Blakeman was born in Edmonton. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Public Administration from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension.

Before her MLA career, Ms Blakeman worked as:

General Manager, Phoenix Theatre and Theatre Network
Chief Trainer, Medical Council of Canada LMCC Part II
Executive Director, Alberta Snowmobile Association

Ms Blakeman’s active community involvement has included:
